Offer DescriptionThe PLA-STEER project launches an opportunity for a postdoctoral researcher in algorithmic game theory and/or online learning, working with Prof. Celli at BIDSA and the Department of Computing Sciences. The project studies how multiple machine learning algorithms interact on shared platforms, aiming to characterize system behavior and develop theoretical foundations for coordination mechanisms. The candidate will focus on the learnability of classical economic problems, with emphasis on the sample complexity of contract design, inverse game theory, and online bilateral trade, deriving upper and lower bounds and identifying computational barriers to tractability. Responsibilities include advancing the research agenda, joining reading groups, publishing and presenting results, and collaborating with international researchers.
