- Development of technological know-how and support to the sales function
- Technical support to other project disciplines and functions for specialised aspects (including procurement and construction)
- Ensuring the achievement of the project's quality and contractual objectives
- Ensuring the progress of the project by monitoring the consumption of hours and tracking changes in costs and hours
- Prepare technical annexes for engineering activities to be subcontracted and ensure subcontractor coordination and monitoring
- Ensure proper workflow between disciplines, quality control and final client approval of all documents
- Support management in the technical interface with the customer
- Issue purchase requests, ensure technical evaluation of the offer and supplier follow-up
- Support construction by implementing engineering solutions on site
- Support the bidding process by analysing tender documents, coordinating activities according to project schedule, managing technical questions and deviations to be submitted, defining bid requests for non-computed items, coordinating material and construction quantity estimates and preparing engineering hour estimates
- Prepare technical details for the supply of geotechnical and topographical surveys, metalwork and building design/construction
- Prepare technical details for civil engineering
- Provide engineering and technical solutions that bring cost benefits, ease of construction and safety Mitigate quantity increases in the execution phases of projects.
- Set up and perform assigned engineering activities such as detail design, verification and design of any typical civil engineering activities
- Knowledge of calculation methods for the design of foundations, concrete works, concrete and steel structures, including soil improvement techniques.
- Knowledge of construction materials and tests aimed at the knowledge of their characteristics.
- Ability to prepare reports and spreadsheets, estimate quantities for bid preparation based on preliminary data or modify orders during project execution.
- Knowledge of the main international standards and codes and ability to analyse project requirements in terms of local regulations and identify appropriate actions to be implemented
- Ability to define guidelines for estimating project quantities and have them applied by the team to engineering suppliers and/or sub-contractors
- Ability to manage subcontracted engineering packages by defining scope of work, milestones and timelines.
- Ability to control the quality, cost and timing of subcontracted activities ensuring their compliance with the project schedule and objectives and contract requirements
- Ability to make the technical evaluation of offers from material and service suppliers
- Ability to define the scope of the project in order to meet the client's needs and expectations
- Knowledge of tools related to 3D modelling, 3D model review, Office package
- Knowledge of structural calculation software and tools
