The position is based on the site of LatinaPurpose of the position
Ensure, in line with the site and group strategy, the development and implementation of the CAPEX plan of the plant, supervising its execution using internal and external resources in compliance with quality / time / cost objectives and in compliance with GMP and safety standards.
Main tasks
Coordinate and manage the engineering project managers and project engineers working within CAPEX Projects.
Provide leadership to ensure that all multidiscipline project activities are aligned, dependencies are considered within project schedule and budget is coordinated.
Ensure and coordinate activities, availability planning and personnel development in the named group functions.
Provide leadership as acting Engineering Manager, ensuring that all engineering activities during project phases (entire project lifecycle, from business case development to project delivery), in different areas of technology are aligned.
Prepare and issue the project engineering concepts and project specifications as well as collecting the User Requirements Specifications (URS).
Organize and prepare the engineering procedures and specific plans as required, ensuring that the project engineering team is performing in accordance with the agreed standards and requirements.
Drive innovation by identifying and incorporating new technical solutions and technologies in the project designs, as well as the Site Master Plan
Direct, review and approve all engineering documents and drive associated changes.
Promote the organizational development of the Engineering team and the whole wide operations team.

Degree in Engineering (Dipl. Ing. / M. Sc.) or comparable (mechanical / process / chemical or equivalent)
Long-term general engineering project management experience in CAPEX investment projects
Excellent project and engineering management skills and expertise of CAPEX projects in the life science and pharmaceutical industry
Strong knowledge of cGMP/GLP regulations, ICH, FDA CMC, ISPE and PDA Guidance documents
Good understanding of EHS and Quality aspects in the pharmaceutical industry
Good understanding of engineering management within the project execution (Feasibility/Conceptual, Basic & Detail Design)
Strong project management skills
Leadership experience, combined with analytical, problem-solving and organizational as well as empathic communication skills
