- Design, develop and improve strategy for automated industrial processes, systems and components
- Ensure high reliability in all automation systems of the industrial site
- Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair industrial automation systems to reduce unscheduled downtimes
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance in industrial automation systems
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure automation system reliability, standardization and safety
- Support all the potential suppliers during field visits and scope definition.
- Management of automation maintenance plans working closely with the Electrical Reliability SME and the Reliability Program Owner.
- Plan automation works of maintenance, operation and safety. Including evaluation of technicians availability, spare parts, etc. in order to carry out the requested work. As well as the task of dealing technical specifications relating to the work to be carried out in order to request quotes and offers from multiple suppliers in the planning/feasibility phase of the activity
- Analyze system performance and suggest modifications or upgrate
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for industrial automation systems
- Collaborate with Electrical Specialist and Electrical Coordinator to monitor the obsolescence of components and software; set spare parts strategy
- Partecipate actively in continuos improvement initiatives (RCA, Kaizen, etc.)
- High technical education on automation of production processes
- Background: Engineering, Electrical, Automation, Computer Science or similar field
- 3 – 5 years of experience as Automation Specialist/Engineer
- Knowledge PLC (Siemens-ABB), Scada, HMI, frequency drives, PI Vision, automation & programming
- Solid understanding of computer programming and software development
- Solid understanding of electrical diagram
- Strong orientation to problem-solving
- Language: English and German is a plus
