- Serve as a strong functional partner to the Sites MDs and to drive cohesive decision-making, foster collaboration, and drive the development and execution of key HR initiatives that align with business goals and Mondi HR strategy
- Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to managers and employees with specific focus on: employee advocacy/engagement, employee relations management, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention and workplace investigations as appropriate
- Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues; escalates concerns beyond their scope to relevant stakeholders.
- Partner closely with Sites MDs, HR Business Partners, Country/Regional HR Leaders and HR CoE professionals to drive a cohesive and aligned HR agenda and execute business-specific HR strategies
- Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment
- Lead key HR processes including performance, talent management, Payroll & compensation planning, onboarding, Hiring, Training & development new manager assimilation etc.
- Partner with Country/Regional HR leader and HR CoE's to align on and execute relevant HR projects or initiatives as needed across multiple client groups at the two sites
- Provide guidance and leadership for all union/works council relations and ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved
- Ensure all HR matters are handled fairly and consistently with local laws and regulations and our company compliance regulations
- Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care
- Overall responsibility includes communication responsibility of the site.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in a Human Resources related area
- Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience in a client support HR role preferably in an industry environment
- At least 5 years of experience in a Human Resources client support role
- Sound knowledge of union/employee relations and works council management as well as local labor laws and government requirements
- Developed (oral and written) communication and diplomacy skill set with the ability to influence others by presenting sound and logical arguments tailored to the audience
- Hands-on self-starter who has a demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and work independently while being able to effectively navigate and partner in a matrix environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and capable of handling multiple issues and/or projects simultaneously and executing to completion
- Excellent collaboration, influencing, project management, organizational and change agent skills
- Passionate, employee advocate who wants to make a difference in the organization by helping employees succeed
