Your talent opens opportunities​ and, together, we open worldsYour RoleFAAC Technologies is currently looking for a Supplier Development Engineer who will be part of our Product Development Department in our headquarters in Zola Predosa, BolognaAs a Supplier Development Engineer, you will have the chance to get a deep insight into the function of Product Design of an international Headquarters and to work within a dynamic and innovative context inspired by the principles of Lean Thinking, characterized by teamwork and a streamlined decision-making process.
The Supplier Development Engineer will report directly to the Project Leader within his/her “Obeya” and will have functional relations with quality and purchasing functions.Key Responsibilities
  • Team member in the product development process from the early-stage design activities to the mass production
  • Direct participation in the technical discussion with supplier in order to guarantee process feasibility assessments.
  • Verification of production process
  • Validate the conformity of the purchased material using measuring instruments (as CMM).
  • Definition of the control plans for incoming material and components
  • Auditing activity with the suppliers and their process
  • Promoting continuous improvements of the suppliers in terms of quality and process by evaluating corrective actions)
What do You need to be successful?
  • Technical degree background
  • 2-3 years of experience in quality or engineering or production (main commodities: die-casting, plastic molding, mechanical processing, sheet metal processing)
  • Good knowledge of mechanical drawings
  • Good knowledge of English language
  • Attitude to work into multi-disciplinary teams (Obeya room)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Availability for business trip
