- You will work closely with our two other Engineering Managers, as well as the VP of Engineering and our CTO, syncing regularly to make decisions, set and improve engineering standards, create processes, and manage budgets
- While the Product Owners and Product Managers focus on the ‘what’, you will have responsibility for the ‘who’ and the ‘how’, allocating teams of developers to products and providing best practices for development within those teams - empowering them to do what they do best
- You will be involved in the planning, interviewing, and hiring of software engineers, as well as supporting individuals at all stages of their career to grow through 1-on-1 conversations, mentoring, and organised trainings
- Once settled in the role, you will have a group of 8-10 direct reports who are software developers and engineers working across our products, and will work closely with them as both teams and individuals

- You have experience working with self-organised agile teams, who are empowered to make their own decisions about how to approach problems and do their work
- You feel comfortable with technical leadership and topics, as well as people management and the software development process
- You enjoy working collaboratively with peers, and are happy to work regularly with others from all across the company, both 1-on-1 and in groups
- You are able to self-organise, identify what needs to be done and the steps needed to do it, without close guidance or instruction
- You can complement our existing team, and teach us about our unknown unknowns
- You have worked in a start-up or scale-up company before, and are comfortably with flat hierarchies
- You’re excited to lead, to inspire and encourage others, and to discover new ways to solve complex problems
- You are curious and open, willing to continuously develop yourself both professionally and personally
