- • Develop and implement a long-term strategic vision for supplier quality and development, aligning it with the company's overall supply chain strategy and business goals.
- • Manage and further develop the supplier quality resources by building and leading a high-performing team of supplier quality and development professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and career development opportunities.
- • Coordinate global/local resources and additional external service providers to support supplier quality monitoring.
- • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the supplier quality and development function, leveraging best practices and benchmarking to drive excellence across the supplier network.
- • Define process to support SCM to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting thorough assessments of their capabilities, quality systems, and compliance with industry standards.
- • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to negotiate supplier contracts, incorporating quality clauses and performance incentives.
- • Establish performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to monitor supplier performance, addressing any deficiencies and recognizing top-performing suppliers.
- • Plan, establish and maintain process to monitor and approve supplier part, material and project subcontractor service activities, as applicable often close coordination with other functions/experts like engineering.
- • Proactively assess and mitigate quality supplier-related risks, ensuring business continuity and minimal disruption to the supply chain.
- • Plan and coordinate with the assigned resources and conduct regular supplier audits to verify adherence to quality standards, identify areas for improvement, and ensure consistent compliance.
- • Lead root cause analysis investigations for critical supplier-related quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- • Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, customer quality, product quality engineering, and manufacturing, to align supplier quality initiatives with organizational goals and strategies.
- • Define with local managers the execution process of incoming quality controls, and process to manage supply issues like quality issues, late deliveries, non-conforming products, or project services. For any issue with likely root cause supplier, prepare a claim.
- • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- • +3 years of experience in similar role
- • A proven track record of APQP and PPAP preferably in the automotive sector.
- • Data-driven decision-maker, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English.
- • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.
- • Willingness to travel as needed to visit suppliers.
- • Knowledge of ISO9001 (High Level Structure) - IATF16949.
