Service & Project Engineer – Crane Commissioning (Port Automation)

Your main activities will be:
- Participate in on-site commissioning activities of port cranes (e.g. STS, RTG, RMG), supported by senior engineers
- Support testing, integration, and troubleshooting of crane automation systems
- Assist in configuration and basic tuning of PLC, drive, motion control, and safety systems
- Contribute to installation, commissioning, and handover phases of port automation projects
- Support corrective and preventive maintenance activities during operation
- Assist in the analysis of technical issues and support root cause investigations
- Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and customers on site
- Apply Siemens safety, quality, and technical standards in all activities
- Continuously develop technical and professional skills through training and on-the-job learning
- Degree or technical diploma in Automation, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
- Initial experience or strong interest in industrial automation, commissioning, or service activities
- Basic knowledge of: PLC programming, Drive and motion control systems and Industrial automation fundamentals
- Interest in port automation, cranes, and heavy industrial applications
- Willingness to work on site in an operational and industrial environment
- Good knowledge of Italian and English
- Proactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn
- Team-oriented mindset and good communication skills
