Start your future with BorgWarner now!Provide global leadership for the product related disciplines in Charging, including: DC hardware, firmware (all embedded software), cloud software, testing and validation, systems engineering, R&D, power modules, medium voltage solutions, bi-directional charging, cabinet design and charge post cable management. The role reports into the Global Vice President and General Manager for Charging.We are looking for an industry leader in DC charging solutions, who understands high power electrical engineering and the overall ecosystem of hardware and software in charging. Our focus is on eDepot and on-the-go public charging DC high power products.The leader will have a ‘product’ mindset, encompassing hardware, software, and aftercare (service). A ‘customer first’ approach is essential, and the incumbent will work closely with the Global Director of Sales and Global Director of Service, as well as the manufacturing plants and their Local Leaders.The incumbent will lead large and diverse teams across 6 locations (California, Michigan, Northern Italy, Shanghai, Xiangyang). Talent management and recruitment are critical aspects to this role, as the team will grow significantly (team size today is around 80 FTEs).This position is responsible for driving product innovation and development from initial concept to launch, working with accelerated timelines and within budget. We are looking for someone who can learn very quickly, is willing to lead effectively despite ambiguity.They will understand the complexity of the EV charging business, including the partnering ecosystem and the interdependency of this, to ensure customer satisfaction. Understanding ISO15118, OCPP and industry related standards and protocols is essential. Interoperability of the charging hardware with the wide variety of vehicles is key.
