- Administer and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch, ensuring high availability, data integrity, and performance.
- Support the provisioning, configuration, and optimization of cloud-based database infrastructure on AWS (RDS, EC2, EBS, S3, IAM).
- Proactively monitor database systems, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies.
- Develop, test, and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high availability plans, in compliance with DORA and business continuity requirements.
- Enforce security policies and manage access controls, encryption, and auditing mechanisms to align with PCI DSS requirements.
- Assist in data migrations, cloud adoption strategies, and database consolidation efforts.
- Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to improve automation
- Manage data lifecycle: indexing, archiving, partitioning, and cleanup.
- Participate in troubleshooting incidents, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and ongoing learning within the team.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role, with a strong focus on cloud-based environments.
- Proven expertise with at least two of the following database technologies: MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Elasticsearch.
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services, particularly RDS, S3, and Athena.
- Solid understanding of PCI DSS and DORA compliance frameworks, including auditing, encryption, and access control practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools, such as CloudWatch, Kibana, and specialized tools for SQL performance analysis.
- Basic knowledge of containerization and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Docker, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Ability to support and adhere to business requirements, compliance standards, and engineering guidelines defined by the company and the broader group.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-changing environments.
- Professional proficiency in English (minimum level B2/C1).
