At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.Position SummaryWe are looking for an Intern position to join our Maintenance Team here in Pomezia Plant. He/She will support the Maintenance Associate Manager in the execution of activities needed to performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems. He/She will support the execution of equipment qualification. He/She will Observe on the floor maintenance processes to collaborate on the improvement studies in the areas of Maintenance efficiency, process control, employee safety and environmental impact in a lean environment.Duties
  • Monitor preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical, pneumatic and electrical equipment. Collect and analyze maintenance data, evaluate trend and execute root cause analysis.
  • Support the implementation of a corrective maintenance program in all the production machines and equipment in an efficient manner that would allow a better utilization of these assets of the company
  • Support the development of plans, design of experiments, and schedules for establishing maintenance processes.
  • Support the installation, qualification and startup of new equipment/system.
  • Monitoring and analysis of water purification system.
  • Support for the completing daily, weekly and monthly checklists on equipment maintenance procedures and maintaining records of scheduled maintenance procedures
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and warehouse.
  • Supervising external suppliers.
  • Generates a weekly and monthly report showing the most critical machines and equipment down.
Education DegreeBachelor's DegreeMaster's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical EngineeringRequired Experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Robotic or Chemical Engineering preferred
  • Project leadership & technical skills
  • Interest in maintenance and facility engineering department
  • Ability to learn and comprehend the fundamentals of the functioning of machines
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Good Knowledge of English (Minimum B1)
