Offer DescriptionThe proposed work package aims to leverage meteorological forecasting data obtained from other WPs to develop a comprehensive risk assessment tool. This tool will enable the correlation of environmental effects caused by local weather conditions with the technological impact on the Medium Voltage (MV) electrical grid. By doing so, the implementation of this tool will help prevent catastrophic events such as overheating of MV cables or disruptions caused by hydrological events. To achieve this goal, advanced computational power flow (CPF) techniques will be employed to analyze the behavior of the MV grid under different operating conditions. Additionally, advanced modeling techniques will be utilized to estimate the electrical effects of environmental factors on the cables, joints, and supporting structures. By combining these techniques, a detailed understanding of the grid's vulnerability to various environmental stressors will be obtainedRequirementsAdditional InformationEligibility criteriaInformation engineering or smart industry or industrial PhDEligible destination country/ies for fellows:
