RINA is currently recruiting for a Ports & Maritime Junior PM to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Infrastructure Division.MissionThe Junior Project Manager will be in staff with the Senior PM responsible and accountable for executing and leading projects, ensuring completion of deliverables within the defined deadlines, scope, and budget. The The Junior PM will be part of the PM Port and Maritime Facilities team, which is in charge of complex set of relationships among the client, staff, contractors, and subcontractors who deliver the elements of the project. The skill of balancing the demands and expectations of these groups lies at the heart of a successful project. The Project Manager is accountable for reaching out project objectives in the most efficient and effective manner.Key Accountabilities
  • Project Management:
Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and external resource requirements.
Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines.
Monitor and control project risks, identifying and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Client Interaction:
Act as part of the team which is the point of contact between the consulting firm and the client.
Understand client needs and expectations, and work to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed those expectations.
Provide regular project updates to clients and address any concerns or issues.
  • Budget Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
Track project expenses and resource utilization to optimize cost-effectiveness.
  • Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Proactively address issues that may impact project delivery.
  • Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to guarantee the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Contract Management:
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage any changes or disputes that may arise.
Conduct regular project reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Technical Expertise:
Leverage engineering knowledge in solving complex technical problems.
Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices to ensure the application of cutting-edge solutions.
  • Communication:
Facilitate effective communication within the project team and with external stakeholders.
  • Documentation
Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
  • Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Implement lessons learned from past projects.

  • From 0 to 3 years of experience in engineering
  • Project Management Skills:
  • project management certificates or courses could be evaluated as a plus.
  • Problem solving attitude.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Eventual experience in Coastal and Maritime asset plan or design will be evaluated as a plus.
  • Software Skills:
  • Familiarity with engineering software.
  • Language Knowledge: Good proficiency in English
