- Assist in menu planning and preparation of high-quality Italian dishes.
- Oversee kitchen operations and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Support the Head Chef in training, mentoring, and supervising kitchen staff.
- Ensure that all food safety regulations and sanitation practices are followed.
- Manage inventory, including ordering and controlling stock levels of ingredients.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal menus and special dishes.
- Assist with kitchen administration tasks as necessary.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Italian restaurant or similar culinary environment.
- Proven experience in a Sous Chef role or as a Chef de Partie.
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and its culinary techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to DRC for this position.
