Environmental Rehabilitation Expert - Chemical Industry

• Design and manage rehabilitation projects for the manufacturing site
• Develop remediation strategies, define and manage financial provisions, and purchase and direct the services from external consultants and contractors to perform investigations, design solutions, and deliver the greatest possible remediation plans against the most optimal costs and in full compliance with Italian laws and regulations
• Use proven technical expertise, insights, and ability to propose innovative and efficient solutions
• Express capability to collaborate with a large panel of other professionals such as HSE, Engineering experts, Purchasing, Financial, Legal including external counsels, and Communication
• Establish and maintain permanent and high-level relationships with local Authorities (Environmental agencies) and local Communities (governmental representatives, Region, Municipalities, NGOs)

• Degree in Hydrogeology Engineering, Chemistry, or Biochemistry applied to environment or environmental remediation, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in polluted soil, water, or air remediation, either within an industrial company or within an environmental consultancy organisation
• Experience in managing contaminated sites
• Experienced with Italian and European Environmental Regulations
• Fluency in Italian and English. Any other language is a plus
• Knowledge of HSE management principles
• Knowledge of Environment, Geology, hydrology, soil chemistry, and de-pollution techniques
• Project management and negotiation skills
