- Perform the supplier technical audits to evaluate supplier capabilities and process Audits to identify any gaps and improvement ideas. Evaluates supplier performance and capability, drive continuous improvement opportunities at supplier.
- Perform quality problem resolutions and incident management, drive root cause and correction action.
- Manages customer escalation issues, Issues SCARS to suppliers where needed
- Single point contact for Driving issues at supplier and reporting out to customer / Field service team.
- Provides input to Commodity team for Supplier Selection to develop a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality, value/cost, delivery and technology.
- Assist in cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers, supply markets, to ensure a competitive advantage.
- Support product development and improvement teams by sourcing new technologies from qualified suppliers. Proliferate learnings across the suppliers.
- Evaluates supplier change notification and qualifies changes, as needed. May maintain component data management system including qualification records/results/documentation.
- Drive FA and uses Applied Problem solving / 8D to identify Root Cause and implement Corrective Actions for Customer escalations.
- Monitors supplier performance and works with suppliers for continuous improvement to drive supplier QPPM down and Escalations.
- Visits suppliers pro-actively, Validates AMAT BKM’s at supplier sites
- Very well versed with Excel, Data Analytics
- Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
- Proven record of using Quality tool kit
- Technical knowledge about Chip manufacturing equipment
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others, is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
- Works independently, Provides input for improvements for AMAT processes.
- Takes ownership and responsibility for timely resolution of Quality issues.
- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies.
- Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.
- Works well in team environment and team player.
- Proficiency of German or French is a plus
