RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior CSE - Construction Safety Engineer to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Civil Engineering Division.MissionAs a Junior Construction Safety Engineer, you will support the implementation and monitoring of safety processes on construction sites, ensuring that activities are carried out in compliance with safety standards and regulations. You'll work under the guidance of Senior or Principal Engineers, gaining hands-on experience and growing your technical and professional skills. #LI-MT3What We OfferA structured training and development path with mentorship from senior professionalsThe opportunity to work on meaningful infrastructure projects across Italy and abroadA dynamic and inclusive workplace that values safety, innovation, and teamworkCompetitive compensation and benefitsKey AccountabilitiesAssist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating safety risks on construction sitesConduct site inspections to spot hazards and unsafe practices; prepare reports and help implement corrective actionsSupport in drafting project-specific safety documentation (e.g. Safety Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statements)Review construction plans to ensure alignment with current safety regulations and standardsContribute to the development of emergency response plansParticipate in safety training sessions and toolbox talks for on-site personnelJoin incident and near-miss investigations, contributing to root cause analysis and preventive actionsAssist with day-to-day project monitoring and support the engineering team on-siteContribute to technical documentation including Health & Safety Plans, coordination reports, and progress updatesEnsure compliance with RINA's Quality Management System and policiesEducationBachelor's Degree in Construction and Environment or Civil EngineeringQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction and Environmental EngineeringKnowledge of key safety regulations and industry standards in constructionFamiliarity with risk assessment techniques and mitigation measuresStrong observational and reporting skills from site inspectionsProficiency in technical writing and documentationCompetencies
