Our Electrification Products Division is looking for a Project Engineer who will work in the Business Unit Protection and Connection located in Dalmine. In the role of Project engineer, you will act as the responsible engineer for project with different level of complexity: Engineering discipline leader on small projects or portions of larger projects. You will complete engineering assignments efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.This position reports toProject Operations ManagerYour responsibilities
  • Engineering development of protection relays and control systems.
  • Programming project-specific applications efficiently and meeting customer requirements, ensuring proper functionality and interfacing to other systems.
  • Carrying out acceptance testing (FAT and SAT) of Protection and Control systems in cooperation with other colleagues and customers, following the health and safety regulations.
  • Creating and reviewing technical customer documentation for your projects.
  • Participating in the commissioning of the application on customer sites.
Your background
  • Technical Diploma or degree in software, electrical, automation, computer engineering or related.
  • Good general working knowledge on HMIs, PLCs and I/Os, preferably with ABB products, as well as on Windows-based operating systems.
  • Understanding of control system topologies and communication protocols.
  • You work well both independently and as a part of a team. You seek solutions actively, instead of focusing on problems.
  • Interaction with both customers and other ABB team is an important part of this job, so you have good communication and language (good English, both written and spoken) skills.
  • Willingness to travel is required to some extent, to ensure successful completion of the delivery project.
