Join us!Within our STEM IT Program in HQ we are looking for a Cable Design and Costing Manager.This role is part of the System Engineering Office team which main responsibilities are:competitiveness, through definition and control of cable and system costsprofitable execution, through support in contracts on special technical topicsrisk awareness, through the management of Technological Readiness Levelengineering know-how, through skills development of team members and trainingefficiency of engineering processes, through tools developmentWithin this frame, the Cable Design and Costing team is involved in the following activities:prepare the detailed cable design for production also aligning with R&D, Manufacturing and System Engineering teamprepare the cable cost sheet for both mass production and protypesmonitor actual costs vs budget costsimplement lessons learnt on cost assumptions and costing calculation rulesIn particular, the key duties and responsibilities for the Cable Design and Costing Managers are the following:Coordinate the team actively participating to the daily activities mentioned aboveRevise and approve cable design documents and costsSupport the System Engineering areas in finding the optimized solution bringing manufacturing and testing aspects (tender stage)Support the projects execution phase by detecting and proposing possible optimizations impacting on cable costs without compromising quality and/or increasing the risk levelHave a continuous alignment with Manufacturing plants, Cable Designers of the affiliates, R&D, Testing department and System Engineering teams to support a smooth execution phase of projects and to have an excellent alignment between budget and actual cable costsShare lessons learnt and remedial actions implemented with all the involved partiesHave a strategic view that allows you to understand where optimization of the internal processes contributing to the calculation of the cable costs are possibleQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEMinimum Qualifications:Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical are preferred)Full proficiency in both written and spoken English, other languages as a plusMinimum Experience:5-7 years’ experience in product costing process in a manufacturing company (i.e. product cost based on raw materials cost and process costs)Managing of a small teamFamiliarity in reading and understanding Standards and technical specificationsKnowledge and understanding of production processesAbility to combine technical knowledge and communication skillsPrysmian , as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
