You'll be part of an international team, organized by business processes, and actively contribute to the development and optimization of our applications.The Role and Your ResponsibilitiesAs an ICT Application Developer and Functional Partner in the Spare Parts area, you'll be a key figure in the development and management of our custom applications, with a particular focus on Oracle and COBOL systems. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Business Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to prioritize goals and needs, helping to implement the most efficient and cost-effective ICT solutions.
  • Requirements Analysis and functional specification definition: Analyze business requirements for change requests, from charter definition to prioritization, collaborating with Key Users to translate business requirements into the detailed system changes to be applied
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement software solutions based on Oracle Database 11g, Oracle SQL Developer 4.0.3.16, Oracle Form Builder, and Oracle Report Builder, with specific knowledge of Sales & Distribution scenarios. Solid knowledge of COBOL will also be required for maintaining and developing on existing systems.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system effectiveness and performance (KPIs) for assigned business processes. You'll not only provide user support but also proactively propose updated solutions to improve efficiency.
  • User Support & Partnership: Provide close user support, acting as a true IT Business Partner.
  • Incident Management: direct solve urgent incidents and issues highlighted by the business, and / or Support external Application Maintenance Partners in resolving the same, investigating and providing necessary troubleshooting assistance.
  • Collaboration: Cooperate with both internal and external resources, under the IT Global Business Analyst's supervision, to resolve incidents, implement change requests, and lead small-to-mid-sized projects.
  • Preferred Knowledge: A good understanding of SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) will be considered a plus.
What You Need to Be SuccessfulThe ideal candidate is a professional with a solid background and proven experience in software development.Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Oracle Experience: Documented experience in Oracle application development (Oracle certifications are a plus) and Cobol knowledge.
  • Overall Experience: 4-7 years of experience with Spare Parts processes and IT systems.
  • Oracle Development: Strong experience (3-5 years) in Oracle application development, with specific skills in Oracle Database 11g, Oracle SQL Developer 4.0.3.16, Oracle Form Builder, and Oracle Report Builder.
  • Programming: Excellent knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming.
  • COBOL: Solid knowledge of COBOL.
  • SAP: Experience with SAP Sales & Distribution is highly recommended.
  • Pricing: Experience with Price List Management and Calculation.
  • Complex Solutions: Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and implement complex software solutions.
