- Project HSE Management System development throughout all project phases (engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation and installation);
- Promote the HSE Culture within the Project, Client and Subcontractor's organizations, through the delivering of dedicated campaigns, initiatives and workshops;
- Implementation of HSE Risk Management processes (HAZID, Risk Screening, Risk Assessment);
- Ensure that all the activities are conducted in strict accordance with the company and Saipem HSE MS, Standards, applicable local legislation and International Standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001);
- Identify safety and environmental criticalities and propose mitigation measures.
- Identify properly potential emergency scenarios and develop emergency preparedness and response plans;
- Implement an HSE training program based on Saipem HSE MS, Standards, applicable local legislation and International Standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Plan and conduct HSE audit to projects work sites and subcontractor's premises;
- Identify, in conjunction with project organization and based on corporate and client requirement, specific leading and lagging indicators;
- Ensure an effective HSE performance monitoring, analysis and reporting toward Project and Company organizations;
- Ensure incident reporting and investigation are properly conducted and participate where their investigation;
- Participate in the Project and Vessels HSE Readiness Review process;
- Stimulate and regularly evaluate continuous improvement, HSE initiatives, technological and methodological innovation;
- Provide HSE-related engineering input, as applicable, into new projects and upgrade activities (liaise, as required, with other departments in order to correctly implement all necessary management of change procedural steps).
- To treat problems in a systemic way by envisaging solutions that consider factors to be found both inside and outside the context and which will have a long-term impact;
- To put forward alternative choices and make a clear decision even in the presence of scenarios that have not yet been completely defined, analyzing the various alternatives and taking on responsibility for risks;
- To handle differences, conflicts and negotiations in an assertive manner, while trying to find a solution that will be shared by the parties and will not burn bridges (win-win optic);
- To involve the members of the team and guide them towards common objectives by dedicating time, attention and a pro-active approach to the development of individuals, to team dynamics and interaction, and to the overall effectiveness of the group (communication of objectives, motivation, working together as a team, feedback on team and individual results and behavior).
- NEBOSH IGC or ICERTOSH Certification;
- ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification;
- Knowledge of offshore operations, offshore vessels and international Conventions (SOLAS, MARPOL);
- Knowledge of the main international standards applicable to Oil and Gas Industry and Renewables (IMCA, IOGP, GWO, IOGP);
- Knowledge of a recognized incident investigation methodology (Tap Root, Top Set, ABS Incident Investigation, SCAT);
- Knowledge of the Italian safety legislation: D.Lgs. 81/08, D.Lgs. 272/99, D.Lgs. 271/99; D.Lgs. 624/96);
- Knowledge of Green House Gases and Net Zero principles and initiatives.
