Feel the Olympic and Paralympic energy joining us at Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, leaving a mark in the sport history!BREAK THE ICE!Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.We are driven by the following values: respect, determination, legacy, engagement and sustainability.Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.The Venue Security Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the security of our organization venues, both competitive and non-competitive. This position involves operational resource management, coordination, and allocation of security personnel in the venues before, during and after Games Time. The successful candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure physical security, close protection, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in complex and structured environments.Key Deliverables
  • Infrastructure physical security management:
  • Cooperate with security team and stakeholders to manage security needs for the specific venue. Understand the Olympic and Paralympic event needs and the importance of physical security.
  • Staff Allocation and Deployment:
  • Coordinate the deployment of security personnel to the venue based on workload, event schedules, and risk profiles. Ensure efficient utilisation of security resources while maintaining security standards. Monitor staffing levels during events and adjust as needed.
  • Flexibility:
  • Adapt to changing priorities and respond swiftly to emerging security needs.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the MICO26 SEC Functional Area to align with the Security KPI and adaptive needs.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Regularly review workforce data, identify trends, and proposeadjustments to resource allocation. Prepare reports on staffing levels, utilisation, issues and performance metrics.
Knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications required
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Security Management, Business Administration).
  • Fluency in both English and Italian.
  • Proven experience in middle to large companies or middle to large events Security Functional Areas.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with security protocols and risk management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Availability for business travel.
