- Act as the Technical Leader for New Ireland, owning end-to-end solution design across delivery streams.
- Drive the software development lifecycle, from business requirements through to deployment and production support.
- Design, plan, and oversee implementation efforts to ensure solutions are robust, efficient, and aligned with architectural standards.
- Collaborate with New Ireland’s partners and Bank of Ireland to align solution architecture with enterprise goals.
- Evaluate and propose new technologies, frameworks, and architecture patterns for continuous improvement.
- Represent technical solutions to Security and Architectural governance bodies.
- Support data representation initiatives in both Cloud and on-premise environments.
- Maintain architecture artefacts and documentation.
- Size and scope delivery efforts based on solution architecture.
- Build strong relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders across business and IT teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- AWS Associate Solution Architect Certification (or on track to becoming certified at Professional level).
- Minimum 5-10 years of technical experience in implementation and delivery.
- Experience in technical delivery; 1+ year in solution/technical architecture roles.
- Previous experience working with midrange systems, ideally Life400 on iSeries platform.
- Team leadership and people management experience is a plus.
- Experience designing solutions across infrastructure and application layers.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Proven experience in data architecture, storage, and management.
- Solid understanding of security foundations and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of communications and system architecture.
- Demonstrated expertise in application design and development.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, or C#.
- Familiarity with networking principles and protocols.
- Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of business processes and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows.
- Ability to create and validate proofs of concept (PoCs) to support solution feasibility.
- Experience working with midrange platforms is highly desirable.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
