They actively collaborate throughout all event phases – setup, operations, and dismantling – ensuring deadlines are met, operational efficiency is maintained, and on-site logistics run safely.General Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Venue Logistics Manager in developing and implementing the logistics plans for the assigned venue.
  • Support the management of the logistics compound, equipment, and assigned resources.
  • Facilitate daily coordination with functional areas (e.g., Sport, Security, Technology) and logistics providers.
  • Contribute to monitoring compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and labor laws.
Specific Responsibilities of the Deputy Venue Logistics Manager
  • Assist in supervising the venue logistics team, taking part in the allocation of operational resources and daily briefings.
  • Collaborate in managing the flow of incoming and outgoing materials, supporting adherence to the Master Delivery Schedule (MDS).
  • Monitor and report any operational issues, proposing timely solutions to the Venue Logistics Manager.
  • Support setup and dismantling activities, ensuring operations are carried out in an orderly and efficient manner.
  • Serve as an operational point of contact for the venue’s logistical requests during the event period.
  • Contribute to on-the-job training and mentoring of temporary or volunteer logistics staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Previous experience in operational or managerial roles within logistics, preferably in event settings or complex venues.
  • Knowledge of material receiving, storage, distribution, and vehicle movement activities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, with strong interpersonal and operational skills.
  • Proactive and problem-solving attitude in dynamic situations.
  • Good knowledge of IT tools (MS Office; knowledge of logistics software is a plus).
  • Excellent command of Italian and good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
  • Availability to work in shifts, including weekends and extended hours during key operational phases.
  • Experience in complex urban and logistics contexts.
  • Familiarity with indoor or multi-venue sporting events.
Preferred Criteria
  • Knowledge of the Valtellina area and its logistical and road dynamics.
  • Experience in high-altitude sports environments (e.g., Alpine Skiing, Snowboard, Freestyle).
