- Manage the entire credit lifecycle, from initial application evaluation to ongoing account monitoring and collection activities.
- Evaluate customer credit reports and their agency credit rating to identify and prevent potential payment risks, limit or stop the delivery of products.
- Collaborate with the sales dipartment to contact customers with overdue accounts to collect payments effectively and maintain positive relationships.
- Monitor and coordinate external partners engaged in legal and extra legal collection procedures.
- Solve customer inquiries and disputes regarding invoices and payments, or eventually negotiate payment plans.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of all customer accounts, payments, and communication.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and produce regular reports on credit accounts, including KPI (e.g DSO, aging, exposure..)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in credit control, preferably with extensive experience dealing with mass retailer clients.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy with a strong commitment to data integrity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and navigate challenging situations professionally and empathetically.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills to effectively resolve disputes and collect payments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel functions for data analysis.
- Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Italian is required.
