- Active participation to laboratory activities and material preparation.
- Design of experiments supported by statistical tools, driven by both theoretical understanding of the problem and by experimental evidence.
- Mechanical and chemical rubber compound characterization (e.g. DMTA, quasi-static test, tribology, TGA, etc).
- Data analysis and technical report preparation.
- New methods development and know-how build-up for mechanism understanding.
- Work effectively with technicians, R&D researchers and Management of Bridgestone EMIA Technical Center, actively taking part to R&D cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with Bridgestone Corporate Functions, Bridgestone America and Bridgestone Japan and Bridgestone Europe manufacturing plants.
- Master's Degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or any other related field of study.
- Materials science knowledge in polymer and elastomers field, with specific focus on diffusion phenomena in rubber matrix.
- Laboratory experience in the field of mechanical and chemical characterization of materials.
- Goal-oriented, motivated, creative and collaborative. Able to work within diverse teams, with strong communications and presentation skills, capable to explain complex concepts in a smart way.
- Ability to work under time pressure, independence, with problem solving approach.
- Digital mindset: solid knowledge of MS Office package. Good scripting and programming skills with software such as Matlab, Minitab, Python. Experience in machine learning, big data analytics & computer vision is a plus.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
