
Senior Inventory & Capacity Planner

- 6-month capacity plan – You will build and own the 6-month rolling capacity plan, making sure that it aligns unconstrained demand with supplier capacity. You will take the decision to re-phase, advance or delay demand to ensure a stable schedule that meets service level targets.
- Be an enabler – You will identify bottlenecks, challenge the demand, report on capacity utilisation, select the least-cost, least-risk solution (considering MOQs, lead times, tooling and seasonality), and implement continuous improvements to reduce wasted capacity.
- Leveraging your expertise, you will play a key role in anticipating future constraints, providing capacity forecasts (beyond 6 months) that support product launches and growth across all categories. You will provide key inputs to Alpinestars’ sourcing decisions.
- You will own European inventory planning and budget alignment, developing and maintaining inventory plans across product lines, optimising the inventory budget, and actively prioritising stock build-ups against commercial objectives.
- You will actively manage aged and obsolete inventory — You will implement reduction plans, coordinate clearance actions, ensuring aging risk is addressed before stock becomes dead.
- You will act as a critical link between Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Procurement, and external suppliers - You will set priorities and drive cross-functional decisions, acting as the person others depend on to make the call and deliver.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in inventory and / or capacity planning within an international environment.
- Strong know-how in managing complex SKU portfolios with high variability in demand as well as in supply constraints.
- Expert-level knowledge of inventory optimisation techniques, capacity planning logic and supply chain best practices.
- Strong data analysis and KPI reporting skills including service level by ABC classification, capacity usage percentage vs. plan, etc.
- Previous working experience with ERP systems such as AS400, SO99+, Microsoft Dynamics (preferred) as well as proficiency with BI tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Strong communication skills, the ability to influence and to challenge assumptions so to drive cross-functional discussions will be a must-have in this role.
- A proactive approach and innovative mindset ready to propose alternative and measurable solutions, as well as the ability to take ownership of changes implementation will also be necessary.
- Fluency in English.
