
HR Site Leader

- Lead all HR responsibilities for the Badia Polesine site (approx. 300 employees), acting as the senior HR leader on-site
- Manage payroll for Italy, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement across 3 legal entities
- Define and execute local HR strategy in alignment with global HR frameworks and the Senior HRBP
- Partner with functional leaders (Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Commercial) to support business and workforce growth and guide, advice and support managers on people leadership, change management, and organizational design
- proactively connect with employees to anticipate and reduce issues regarding employee relations / engagement / leadership issues
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with union
- Drive local talent management processes: TDR sessions, succession planning, pipeline development, and coaching
- Champion employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with local labor law, internal policies, and audit standards
- Act as the HR point of contact for crisis management, employee relations, and hotline investigations
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and HR Operations to align systems, policies, and service delivery
- Oversee HR budgeting, headcount planning, HRIS management, and workforce reporting
- Bachelor's degree in business, HR Management, or related field; additional HR education or certifications are a plus
- 5+ years of senior HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Proven track record working in unionized environments, including union engagement, negotiation, and conflict resolution highly advantageous
- Experience in large international companies, with the ability to navigate matrixed and global HR structures
- Strong expertise across core HR areas: talent management, staffing, development, employee relations, compensation, performance, and compliance
- Experience managing or coordinating payroll and time & attendance processes
- Comfortable leading both strategic and hands-on HR responsibilities
- Excellent communication and coaching skills with the ability to build credibility across all levels
- Fluent in Italian and English required
