- Independently determines project scope, performs product evaluation, drafts test-plan and define samples requirements by analyzing client request and standard's requirements.
- Operates within but not limited to North America safety scheme mainly using UL 1004-1 family of standard.
- Autonomously determines project's effort and time scheduling.
- Communicates with clients to share scheduling progresses, explain UL procedures and requirements, discuss technical issues
- Interacts with laboratory activities by preparing testing documentation and instructions to lab technicians.
- Develops customized test methods and set-ups, for safety and performance testing.
- Provides technical assistance to laboratory and/or field staff.
- Serves as Project Handler and may sign as Reviewer as assigned.
- Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
- Proposes development of new and/or revised UL requirements.
- Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites.
- May represent UL at industry related functions such as seminars and trade shows.
- May interact with Global technical leaders for specific product categories or requirements.
- May train office, field, and/or laboratory staff and entry-level engineers.
- Master or bachelor degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), and/or directly related work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand electrical schematics and Bill of maerials.
- Italian Language (min. C1) & English fluent .
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality and exceptional customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully partner with Engineering and other Laboratory Personnel to complete projects in a timely manner with high quality.
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact with international customers and colleagues.
- Attitude to continuous research and learning of standard applicability to new & innovative products' architecture.
- Attitude to work in international and multicultural team.
- Electrical Motors specialization is considered a plus.
- Experience with UL/IEC/EN standards is also a plus.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment is considered a plus.
- Coming from the TIC sector is a plus .
