Don’t miss the chance to revolutionize the future with us!We are seeking an Autonomy Software Engineer with a strong background in algorithm development to join our growing and dynamic team. As an Autonomy Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing onboard autonomy systems for satellite operations. In AIKO, we want satellites to be intelligent and autonomous, taking real-time decisions to boost mission return.Your work will directly contribute to the success and reliability of our space technology solutions. You will ensure constant improvements in algorithms' capability, performance, and overall technological innovation.Experience in the aerospace field is not required, although familiarity with space systems and space mission operations is beneficial. We value smart, motivated, and collaborative engineers who are passionate about space exploration, problem-solving, and pushing technological boundaries.TasksDesign, develop, and maintain high-performance autonomy software systems.Implement effective algorithms for real-time planning, scheduling, and decision-making.Work with simulation and testing environments to validate software functionality.Document code and write technical documentation, contributing to reviews and project milestones.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components into our products, emphasizing technical excellence and adherence to deadlines.Stay updated with the latest advancements in autonomous systems and space technology.RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Mathematics, or a related field.3-5 years of proven experience in software development, preferably in autonomy or aerospace-related projects.Proven experience in designing and developing complex algorithms, preferably in the field of planning and decision-making.Performance-driven mindset in software development with expertise in data structures, algorithmic complexity, and code optimization techniques.Proficiency in Rust and/or C++. Experience with Python is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.Strong communication and documentation skills, targeting both technical and non-technical audiences.Preferred ExperienceUnderstanding of satellite systems and space mission operations.Experience in developing algorithms for low-computational-power environments.Familiarity with machine learning solutions for planning and decision-making, including deep and reinforcement learning.Familiarity with Scrum working methodology and Agile principles, demonstrating an ability to work efficiently within iterative and collaborative development processes.Benefits
