A key player in major international strategic programmes, it is a technological and industrial partner of governments, defence administrations, institutions and companies.Within the GCAP Joint Venture, in the GCAP Technical Leadership UO, we are looking for a Test Manager for GCAP HQ in Reading (UK).The Test Manager is responsible for defining and executing the overall testing strategy within the Secure Digital Platform department, ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of digital solutions delivered across multiple domains. Reporting directly to the Head of Secure Digital Platform, the Test Manager collaborates closely with Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and cross-functional teams to embed testing best practices throughout the delivery lifecycle. This role is critical in guaranteeing that all releases meet high standards of performance, compliance, and security.Key Capability Accountabilities and Objectives
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive test strategy aligned with the Secure Digital Platform’s quality standards and security requirements.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of testing activities across multiple teams and product domains.
  • Define and implement processes for functional, performance, security, and regression testing to ensure robust validation of all solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Delivery Leads to integrate testing activities into Agile delivery cycles.
  • Establish and monitor key quality metrics, reporting test progress, risks, and quality indicators to senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for testing tools, automation, and methodologies.
  • Manage and mentor a team of test engineers and QA specialists, fostering a culture of quality and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational security policies throughout the testing process.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners when applicable to guarantee quality and delivery commitments.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering or a related field (master’s degree is often preferred).
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Certified Agile Tester (CAT), Scrum Master (CSM/SSM), Project Management (PMP or PRINCE2), and Software Quality (CSQA) or other relevant certifications.
Seniority:Senior (5-10 anni).Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Test Manager or QA Lead in large-scale, complex IT environments.
  • Strong knowledge of test management methodologies, test automation, and quality assurance best practices.
  • Experience with Agile delivery frameworks and integrating testing within Agile teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple product and delivery teams in a matrix organizational structure.
  • Technical familiarity with cloud platforms, enterprise services, and digital workplace technologies is a plus.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing QA teams.
