- Development and evolution of the end-to-end value proposition per segment/vertical based on identified customers’ needs and supported by insights from marketing and experience, resulting in market- differentiated customer solutions.
- Supply Chain Oversight: Oversee and promote end-to-end supply chain processes and solutions to ensure efficient and effective movement of our client’ goods.
- Logistics Contract Management: Coordinate, facilitate and promote internally and externally logistics contracts management, ensuring compliance with terms and optimizing operations to meet customer needs.
- Consultative Role: Serve as a consultant to customers, helping them understand their pain points and comparing these with Maersk’s internal capabilities to propose the best solutions as well as supporting and facilitate our sales force to promote and win solutions
- Project Management: Demonstrate strong project management skills to ensure the successful execution of integrated solutions.
- Lead and maintain engagement in commercial team to sell, and lead pursuits with confidence, asking critical questions that improve the solution development and probability of award.
- Act as an escalation point for the team to remove barriers, align across stakeholders to ensure process standardization for sales to enhance the overall solution and win rate.
- Customer Calls/Visits: Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and present our solutions.
- Supply Chain Mapping: Analyse and map out the customer’s supply chain to identify opportunities for improvement and solution proposals
- Opportunity Pursuit: Coordinate the pursuit of opportunities across multiple products and stakeholders, from the “Identify” stage to “Closed-Won.”
- Sales Process Navigation: Navigate the sales processes.
- End-to-End Solution Design: Manage the design of end-to-end solutions and build value propositions that support the long-term business strategy.
- Presenting Offers: Present our offers to customers in a compelling and professional manner.
- Support Sales Representatives: Act as a technical expert with commercial skills, assisting sales reps in understanding customer pain points and aligning them with Maersk’s capabilities to offer the right solutions/products.
- Internal Stakeholder Management: Manage complex solutions by gathering information and solutions from different products and creating the final offer for customers. Strong PowerPoint skills are essential.
- Fluency in Italian and English language
- Good experience, and very good understanding of contract logistics, supply chain solutions, and freight forwarding business model.
- Strong negotiator with commercial mindset who understands procurement tactics, and has a very good interpersonal skill to keep the good relationship.
- Able to handle multiple vertical and horizontal stakeholders, with multicultural backgrounds, internal and external stakeholders. Prior international working experience is a plus.
