You'll keep abreast of rapidly emerging Industry 4.0 and other technologies and you'll act as an adviser and partner to customers as you help them implement these new technologies to change their business models.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers bringing the latest digital technologies to help them grow and improve their businesses.
- Learn the Emerson Software portfolio through training, be capable to demonstrate, and help customers understand the value and ROI of these products.
- Drive sales opportunities to closure in order to meet new order and sales targets
- Strategic approach to select key verticals/accounts in the defined territory.
- On-time follow-up of leads generated by marketing activities to target new business creation.
- Creatively expand the list of target accounts, also identifying new niches of growth, with entrepreneurship.
- Put new customers first and help them tackle their challenges.
- Tactical planning for commercial and marketing activities.
- Customer and opportunity prospecting followed by deal closing.
- Accountability for the performance of new orders and sales for the defined territory.
- Account planning and tactical execution.
- Interacting with marketing, product managers, engineers, and supply chain to provide feedback on market, or customer, needs and dynamics.
- Partner with our global marketing team and industry managers to implement local activities.

- Maintain thorough knowledge of all Emerson products, applications, price structure, industry developments strategies
You will sell innovative software solutions into an exciting variety of industries such as discrete manufacturing, water & wastewater, automotive, tunnels & metros, life sciences, chemicals, and oil & gas. This wide exposure will help your expertise and career opportunities grow.For This Role, You Will Need:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a outside sales role, or a small business leadership role, preferably in industrial automation.
- Knowledge of HMI, Supervisory Control, and/or Plant Analytic software
- Solid understanding of automation systems for building automation, infrastructure, manufacturing, and/or machine automation. Technologies include IIoT, HMI/SCADA, OEE software and cloud/EDGE technologies
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written: natively proficient in Italian, good command of English language.
- The central office location is in Modena, Italy, however the role requires a very high percentage of time to be spent visiting customers, so home-based locations in Italy will be considered.
- Studies in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Previous role as Application Engineer (or Solution Architect) preferred.
- Sales experience in adjacent industries may be considered for the right candidate (mechatronics / robotics / information & operations technology / industrial or manufacturing software / MES & MIS / cloud computing / instrumentation / OEM equipment)
