The YPP initiative is an accelerated program designed to target a population of junior professionals, fresh out of college or less than 18 months of working experience, that have shown high potential through schooling and projects with current and previous work/projects. This is a 2-year program where you will be hired into this Accountant role within Coesia in year one and will conduct a job rotation during year two. The final phase will be a trip to Coesia’s global headquarters in Bologna, Italy to collaborate, learn, and debrief with other YPP participants.About the RoleThe Accountant will manage and provide oversight of Coesia North American financial activities including accounting and tax records, actual monthly closings, statutory and tax filings, and account reconciliation. This position will report to the North America Corporate Controlling Manager in our R.A. Jones Crescent Springs, KY location. This is a flexible work-from-home opportunity following onboarding and train-up.Duties include but not limited to:
  • Manage, drive and execute the monthly close process, meeting the closing requirements in coordination with Coesia North America’s legal entities and relevant company departments
  • Centralize accounting activities of the Coesia North America legal entities and deploy consistent practices
  • Manage accounting activities, including synchronization of the general ledger and sub-ledgers; reviewing and rationalizing journal entries; setting up entry templates; and ensuring full adherence and compliance with established accounting principles
  • Coordinate the account reconciliation process and perform key reconciliations. Ensure adherence of the reconciliation process to the established standards
  • Assists and supports external auditors with year-end audits and preparation of schedules, documentation and other necessary data as requested
  • Assists and supports internal auditor as needed
  • Enhance implementation of Coesia accounting standards through expert utilization of SAP
  • Keep effective and perfect alignment with Controlling and FP&A functions
  • Support Finance Manager in preparing managerial reporting supplemental data and ad hoc reports as may be needed
What You Need to Be Successful
  • BS in Accounting or Business strongly preferred
  • Preferred 6 months to 1 year accounting experience, manufacturing preferred
  • Advanced accounting skills
  • Advanced computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in data analysis
  • Knowledgeable in ERP systems, SAP preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and organize, respond, and react quickly to demands.
  • Tax and fiscal acumen
  • Excellent communication; spoken and written
