Reporting Line: Regional Operations ManagerWe are looking for a Warehouse Manager to lead and manage our Cusago site operations. This is a leadership role with full responsibility for site performance, safety, compliance, people management, and operational excellence. You will be the reference point for all activities related to warehousing, bulk operations, blending, filling, production, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.What you’ll do
- Lead and manage all site operations mainly based on warehousing of packed chemicals, while also including bulk storage, blending, filling, production activities.
- Act as employer’s delegate for Safety and Environmental matters and Seveso at site level (Legislative Decree 81/2008, 105/2015, 152/2006, Law 231/2001).
- Ensure full compliance with Safety, Environment, Quality, Sustainability, and SEVESO regulations and Univar group policies.
- Own and drive site performance, KPIs, cost control, budget planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Optimize stock levels, inbound & outbound flows, and operational efficiency in collaboration with Supply Chain and Transport departments.
- Lead CAPEX proposals and implementation based on safety, environmental, and operational needs.
- Manage, develop, and coach the site team, ensuring high engagement, performance, and capability growth.
- Act as main interface with authorities and public administrations (ARPA, ASL, INPS, INAIL, Labor Inspectorate, Guardia di Finanza, etc.).
- Represent the company during inspections, audits, and regulatory interactions.
- Ensure correct management of dangerous goods, waste operations, UTF products, and major accident risk prevention.
- Oversee training plans, safety drills, emergency response readiness, and compliance audits in collaboration with EHS and Quality departments.
- Drive improvements in quality, safety, environmental performance, and sustainability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations or Logistics Management; preference will be given to candidates with degrees in technical or scientific fields such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering etc.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in site, plant, warehouse, or operations management within chemical, industrial, logistic warehouse or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of Italian safety, environmental, and SEVESO regulations is a plus.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in complex operational environments.
- Experience with SAP and operational reporting tools.
- Fluent Italian and good command of English.
- Excellent analytical-thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
