- Reports to the Resource Manager and aligns with defined design guidelines.
- Oversees the entire project lifecycle, from the development phase (designing the refrigeration circuit through the development of sheet metal parts, piping, etc.) to production, specifically handling:
- 3D modeling using Solid Edge software;
- 2D drafting using CAD tools, including communication with suppliers to clarify any construction-related doubts;
- Item coding using PLM and AS400 systems.
- Maintains constant communication with the Project Team Leader, discussing technical issues, costs, product performance, and any emerging criticalities.
- Provides hands-on support during prototype construction, along with technical instructions.
- Interfaces with the Industrialization department to implement changes following prototyping or production, tracked via JIRA or PEP systems.
- Prepares the manufacturing specifications document (CIS) in collaboration with the Production / Factory Engineering Manager, ensuring proper documentation and updates.
- Supports production supervision, especially during the prototyping phase.
- Interfaces with the technical antenna to verify anomalies and deviations in components, and with the Purchasing department to confirm the accuracy and feasibility of supplier quotations.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information throughout all activities.
- Applies and adheres to the 5S methodology.
- Ensures that all activities meet the quality requirements established by the company and those requested by the customer.
- Complies with PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) regulations.
- Supports the creation of technical documentation with images and relevant information.
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design of industrial machinery (preferably HVAC systems).
- Good knowledge of refrigeration systems for air conditioning.
- Basic understanding of refrigeration units (core components of chillers and indoor units).
- Ability to draft refrigeration diagrams in compliance with current regulations.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings.
- Experience with 3D CAD software (preferably Solid Edge).
- Highly motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills, capable of working in a dynamic, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and teamworking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong analytical and synthesis abilities.
- Strong teamworking attitude.
- English language proficiency at B1 level.
