- Partners with key business and technical stakeholders to shape Cloud Hosting platform requirements, compiling these needs into an overall Cloud Hosting Product strategy that is aligned with wider business and Digital Information goals and priorities.
- Manages the Cloud Hosting Product team to deliver the agreed Product roadmap, delivering valuable, robust, and secure cloud hosting solutions for the business and DI function.
- Act as the key interlock to the business and wider DI function, partnering with key business stakeholders to translate their needs into Product requirements (e.g., Epics, Features).
- Elicit detailed Product requirements (e.g., User Stories) as required.
- Prioritises and manages the Cloud Hosting Product backlog based on value, dependencies, and Product team capacity.
- Responsible for security, compliance, and risk management for the Cloud Hosting Product.
- Accountable for overall Cloud Hosting Product performance, including but not limited to delivery velocity, escalated incident resolution, Product roadmap realisation.
- Provide functional and non-functional test support to the Platform Engineers as required, ensuring developed solutions are aligned to agreed specifications.
- Act as the ‘Voice of the Customer’ in the Cloud Hosting Product team, advocating for a positive user experience (e.g., discoverability, self-service) at all stages of the Product lifecycle.
- Act as a key escalation point for the Digital Information function and business where it relates to cloud and integration platform matters.
- Partners with the Technology Delivery Senior Manager to align Cloud Hosting Product capacity with relevant Digital Information Portfolio items.
- Supports Solution Architects in shaping both Cloud Hosting platform solutions, ensuring inter-Product dependencies and appropriately managed to deliver larger, integrated solutions and properly accounted for and managed.
- Advise business and Digital Information stakeholders the latest technological developments, informing new functional and non-functional opportunities.
- Establish the Cloud Hosting Product team, including a clear vision, strategy, and prioritised backlog for development.
- Lead ongoing delivery activities for the Cloud Hosting Product team, ensuring the periodic release of valuable Product increments.
- Ensure all Cloud Hosting Product increments and delivery activities are aligned with Digital Information policies and processes, as well as regulatory and organisational standards.
- Comprehensive experience managing IT delivery, from requirements elicitation through to release, preferably demonstrated through 5 years relevant industry experience.
- Strong understanding of cloud hosting platform technologies for enterprise-scale organisations and related concepts, preferably demonstrated through relevant professional experience.
- Strong understanding of integrating cloud solutions and related concepts (e.g., Integration Architecture), preferably demonstrated through relevant professional experience.
- Evidenced ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior business and technical stakeholders, translating their needs into workable technology solutions.
- Adept storyteller with a strong ability to convey complex cloud technology ideas to non-conversant audiences.
- Strong analytical skills, with an ability to define complex Platform uses cases and identify their associate value.
- Formal line management experience, preferably in the context of medium sized IT delivery teams.
- Ability to align cloud initiatives with business goals and market trends.
- Ability to quickly respond to various challenges and identify appropriate solutions.
- High ethical standards when handling confidential information.
- Good command of the English language, including setting tasks and instructions, providing feedback, creating reports, documents, and other written materials.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- AWS / Azure / GCP Professional Certifications
- ITIL Foundation or relevant service management certification
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar
- TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) and related certifications
- Knowledgeable in the practical application of Agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum), with demonstrable experience of upskilling teams in Agile.
- Good understanding of Product performance metrics, with evidenced ability to improve overall Product performance (e.g., defect rate, downtime, velocity).
- Good understanding of SQL, Python, and other relevant development languages.
- Good understanding of hybrid or multi-cloud strategies and migrations from on-premises to cloud hosting.
- Familiarity with cloud governance models, cloud FinOps, and service catalogues.
