Gatelab - Fixed Income Senior Algo Developer

• Design and maintain low-latency algorithmic trading strategies and applications for cross-asset (including fixed income) products.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of the company’s trading platforms.
• Collaborate directly with Traders, Quants, Developers and Product teams to align technology with business and client requirements.
• Collaborate directly with developers to support the implementation of clients’ complex financial requirements that may not be easily understood from a technical perspective.
• Collaborate directly with the Quality Assurance team to define testing cases and guarantee proper testing coverage.
• Guarantee accountability, autonomy, and efficiency in all algo design activities, ensuring compliance with deadlines and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure continuous optimization of algorithmic trading workflows.
• Contribute to client success and customer care by ensuring the delivery of robust, compliant, and high-quality solutions.
• Provide regular updates and report activities to management.

• Translate clients’ algo trading requirements into detailed specifications that will be implemented by developers.
• Collaborate with Traders, Quants and Developers to develop and refine trading algorithms that respond accurately to market dynamics.
• Optimize performance at design level to ensure reliable operation in real-time trading environments.
• Maintain comprehensive and structured documentation of trading algorithms.
• Contribute to the evolution of the company’s trading framework to support scalability and reusability across products and regions.

• Take full ownership of trading algorithms and ensure delivery in line with deadlines, SLAs, and quality expectations.
• Apply rigorous testing, regression testing, and performance validation to ensure product stability and compliance, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance team.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of trading algorithms, proprietary code, and client data.
• Contribute to defining and enforcing best practices in testing, release governance, and production readiness.
• Uphold accountability and professionalism in all algo design decisions, ensuring clarity of ownership and alignment with company goals.
• Provide regular updates and report activities to management.

• Work in close partnership with Traders, Quants, Product Owners, Business Analysis, Developers and Quality Assurance teams to deliver tailored solutions aligned with client needs.
• Translate user feedback and business requirements into actionable technical improvements.
• Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders, ensuring transparency, reliability, and responsiveness.

• BSC in Financial Engineering or relevant field.
• Deep knowledge of financial markets and electronic trading workflows
• Proved experience on trading algorithms design.

• Understanding of software development life cycle and of computing fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, concurrency, design patterns).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and optimization.
• Accountability, efficiency, and autonomy in managing deliverables and commitments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact directly with Traders and Quants.
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and respect for compliance requirements.
