Drawing on our knowledge of design, tender, and construction processes, as well as our technical experience, we work to deliver projects that meet client requirements on schedule and within budget.The OpportunityWe are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Project and Program Management team within our Italian office.Arup's Project and Program Management team thrives on shaping transformative projects of every scale, from innovative products and landmark buildings to city-wide developments, right across the globe. With a solid understanding of business needs and each phase from design to tender and construction, we combine technical skills and effective communication to deliver projects that reliably meet client requirements, on schedule and within budget.As a Senior Project Manager in our team, you will be part of the delivery of significant and complex projects in the Science and Industry and Technology sectors with a focus on Data Centre design and construction, working as part of large, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable 'Total Architecture' on an international scale.Candidates with working experience in Data Centre or Industrial Projects are highly preferentialAs a Senior Project Manager at Arup, you will:Maintain excellent relations with Clients even during challenging moments.Lead and manage multiple large capital projects.Lead project teams in the development of multidisciplinary projects at all levels of design and construction, including testing and commissioning.Coordinate all internal and external project team members including design, procurement, operations, commercial and other specialist support teams.Identify and manage project risks, developing clear strategies for risk mitigation. Proactively address challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.Gain stakeholder alignment and approval at the beginning of the project cycle.Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.Project planning and management as well as quality management. Be intimately familiar with the project's cost report and actively participate in its development and management throughout the project.Manage the design team to deliver the design aligned to the project brief in line with the project programme.Work closely with the design team to establish phasing strategies where necessary.Does this role inspire you?As a Senior Project Manager in our team, you will be part of the delivery of significant and complex projects in the Science, Industry and Technology sectors. We also value:7+ years of experience on site for residential or industrial projects that will include critical Infrastructure for Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Bio-tech, Petrochemical or similar environments.Proven experience in project and construction management Customer focused, Self-motivated and flexible.In-depth knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practices.Experience in construction procurement methodologies.Comprehensive knowledge of building planning.Timely realization of complex projects with associated budget planning.Strong communication skills, confident appearance, organizational and negotiating skills.Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project and Excel.Fluency in both Italian and English language.Excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and AutoCAD.Team player, self-motivated, and flexible attitude.Enthusiasm for complex projects in the life sciences and/or technology sector.Why Arup?At Arup, we believe in rewarding our members for their contributions to our shared success.
