RINA is currently recruiting for a Sustainability Engineer to join its office in Genova or Milano, Italy within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division.MissionThe Resource Efficiency and Management Unit of RINA is seeking a highly motivated candidate to support the team in the management and development of projects and proposals for the International Financing Institutions (EBRD, EIB, WB, etc.).The successful candidate will have passion in the energy transition and green economy sectors, a strong attitude to project management, good communications skills and an excellent teamwork attitude.Key Accountabilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in running projects for the International Financing Institutions in the field of energy transition, SME (small medium enterprises) competitiveness, gender parity, green finance;
  • Assist the Project Manager in running projects for the International Financing Institutions in the field of energy transition, SME (small medium enterprises) competitiveness, gender parity, green finance;
  • Active interaction with the client aimed at both project deliveries and commercial opportunities identification and development;
  • Support in elaboration and revision of technical reports for International Financing Institutions related to Green Financing and SME competitiveness;
  • Interaction with local and international consultants in the countries of operations and assure the whole project standard of quality
  • Develop new project opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals and cost estimates;
  • Support the team in general management of the projects meeting client's requests
  • Stay abreast of regulations and best practices related to product quality and safety, environment and health and safety of SME
Qualifications
  • Execution of energy audits and energy balances
  • Use of Excel models to estimate energy consumption in industrial and civil systems
  • Evaluation of energy supply contracts
  • Knowledge of applicable technologies
  • Knowledge of green technologies
  • Experience in estimating GHG emissions
  • Experience in preparing basic economic-financial models
  • Development of KPIs related to energy and resource efficiency #LI-MP3
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of regulations and certifications related to GHGs and energy efficiency
  • Experience in the field of water resource efficiency
  • Experience in performing technical due diligence (TDDs) on green investments
