Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of services ranging from feasibility studies to detailed design, construction support, and project management. The position emphasizes business development, client engagement, and supporting the team in bidding for public clients in the domestic transportation market.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development and Client Engagement

Lead and support the Major Project Transportation Lead in delivering transportation bids and offers from both technical and managerial perspectives.
Manage technical and administrative content for bids and proposals for major infrastructure programs in Italy and abroad.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at local, national, and international levels.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the domestic and international transportation markets.

Project Delivery

Oversee feasibility studies, schemes, and detailed designs, assessments, and project management.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.

Technical Expertise

Recent or current project experiences must include:

Design of major linear infrastructure projects: highways, metro systems, trams, railways, and bridges/structures.
Rehabilitation and adequacy assessments of existing road infrastructure.
Civil works within broader infrastructure, civil, or environmental projects.

Qualifications

Fluent in Italian and English.
Minimum 10 years of experience in leading domestic transportation projects.
Strong knowledge of Italian and international design standards and regulations.
Proven ability to lead multinational teams on infrastructure projects and bids.
Competence in international consultancy company governance processes, approvals, and quality procedures for leading opportunities and projects.
Proficiency in structural, road/rail, geotechnical, and environmental engineering design, including experience with relevant software and BIM coordination environments.
Excellent communication and technical reporting skills.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
Previous exposure to clients at national, international, and local levels.
Ability to manage teams to deliver on time and budget.
