
Commercial Asset and Contract Manager Renewables (Italy) d/f/m

- Secure and optimize revenues generated from our Italian asset and contract portfolio, and act as a backup contact for the Spanish and Portuguese portfolios
- Manage and operate existing market access contracts in Italy, including collaboration with Back Office, Risk, and Accounting for settlement, and support the tendering and negotiation of new contracts
- Ensure the preparation and accreditation of new assets, e.g., that all commercial requirements to inject power into the grid and to receive subsidies and certificates for new assets are fulfilled
- Be responsible for ensuring that assets and contracts are correctly implemented into the RWEST IT landscape (e.g., Asset Database, deal booking system, etc.), and cooperate with IT departments, acting as the local reference person for any data-related topics, such as metering data or power prices.
- Develop and maintain robust income models (e.g., Excel, Tableau) to monitor the commercial performance of our assets. Proactively collaborate with teams in Essen to identify optimization measures and refine trading strategies
- Monitor the regulatory environment and analyse potential commercial impacts or implications for our portfolio, supporting the pursuit of new business opportunities arising from changes in the market and regulation
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with other functions within RWE Renewables and the wider RWE Group
- Business or analytical/quantitative university degree with 1-5 years of experience in the area of Commercial, Finance, Economics or Engineering
- Basic knowledge of Italian electricity markets is a requirement, advanced knowledge is a plus
- Strong analytical, numerical skills and attention to details
- Proactive personality with the willingness to question the status quo and adapt to constant changes
- Proficiency in managing and analyzing data using tools such as Tableau, Excel, and other platforms like Dremio or Databricks, along with a proven ability to quickly learn and adopt new IT tools and technologies
- Availability to travel occasionally to Essen and other European locations
- Fluency in Italian and English are a requisite
- Familiarity with dispatching renewable energy assets in the Italian market, especially with regard to minimizing imbalance costs
