BMS Engineer | Milan | €75,000 – €85,000 + Accommodation + Transport + Rotation 17/4 + €1,000 Living Cost p/mWe’re seeking an experienced BMS Engineer to join a leading international MEP contractor on a major data centre project in Milan. This is a permanent position offering excellent long-term prospects, with a strong pipeline of high-value projects across Europe.As a BMS Engineer, you’ll be responsible for managing all Building Management System activities from design coordination through to installation, commissioning, and handover — ensuring quality, safety, and technical excellence at every stage. You’ll work as part of a highly skilled team delivering complex, cutting-edge engineering solutions for blue-chip clients.Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate BMS design, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Review and evaluate technical drawings, submittals, and specifications.
  • Develop coordinated drawings incorporating mechanical, electrical, and architectural systems.
  • Liaise with design teams, contractors, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Oversee quality control, snagging, and testing documentation.
  • Support value engineering initiatives and cost-saving measures.
  • Participate in progress meetings and prepare weekly technical reports.
  • Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with EHS standards.
Requirements
  • Degree in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 4+ years’ experience in BMS or mechanical project engineering.
  • Proven track record on data centre, pharmaceutical, or commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, controls, and instrumentation systems.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
  • EU passport required (for European project travel).
