- Drive innovation projects in the R&D domain by identifying emerging technologies, piloting new solutions, and transforming ideas into concrete IT initiatives with business value with focus on AI, ML and GenAI solutions.
- Gather requirements from product management and R&D stakeholders, translating them into actionable plans and specifications.
- Translate complex R&D problems into technical solutions with focus on AI-Driven solutions
- Design, develop, and fine-tune ML and LLM models (including RAG pipelines)
- Lead feasibility studies, rapid prototyping, Proof of Concepts and MVP delivery
- Ensure AI model traceability, governance, and continuous improvement via DevOps/MLOps
- Promote adoption of AI tools and workflows within R&D teams
- Define success metrics and monitor project KPIs, risks and dependencies and relative AI impact on innovation outcomes
- Communicate AI results, risks, and potential to non-technical stakeholders
- Coordinate and prioritize project activities across multiple teams in an Agile/SAFe environment.
- Work closely with Data Privacy, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure solutions meet compliance and architectural standards.
- Experience managing IT projects, ideally within the R&D, engineering, or product development domains.
- Strong understanding of AI capabilities and limitations
- Strong understanding of Cloud platforms (Azure) and Data & AI azure services/platforms (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Kubernetes, AzureML-AI Foundry).
- Proficiency in Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, scikit-learn)
- Proficiency in AI Tools: Generative AI, LLMs, ML, vector databases, prompt engineering etc.
- Expertise in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) design patterns
- Knowledge of MLOps tools (MLflow, Weights & Biases, CI/CD)
- Knowledge of Data orchestration tools (Airflow, Databricks, Azure Data Factory)
- Knowledge of Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, SQL
- Experience with agile, design thinking, and business analysis
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Familiarity with R&D engineering processes and tools (e.g., simulations, PLM, lab data)
- Communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
