- Collaborate with R&D and other technical departments (production, assembly, project management, purchasing) to develop mechanical solutions.
- Model mechanical parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software; produce detailed technical drawings.
- Prepare and release mechanical Bills of Materials (BOMs) into production to support manufacturing processes.
- Interact with and support suppliers during the selection and integration of mechanical components.
- Manage component coding (new or existing), including mechanical and commercial parts.
- Provide on-site support for the installation of newly developed R&D products, including drawings and technical documentation.
- Design and develop new mechanical devices and solutions based on job order specifications.
- Contribute to the standardization of existing products and propose innovations or enhancements to current solutions.
- Collaborate with the department manager to suggest and develop internal processes for product testing, validation, and release.
- Monitor and optimize the cost-efficiency of both new and existing mechanical solutions.
- Assist in drafting technical documentation for both R&D and system engineering purposes.
- Manage and supervise external resources when needed to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met.
- Support the Lifecycle Product Support (LPS) department in resolving post-release issues of R&D products.
- Perform field analysis and provide corrective actions for mechanical non-conformities or failures.
- Contribute to the development of FORTNA-specific devices and products within the industrial sector.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- High attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical customer specifications.
- Effective communication skills with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel).
- Experience with CAD software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive team-oriented attitude.
- Basic English proficiency required (preferably B2 level or above).
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently when needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education.
- 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the conveyor systems or material handling equipment industry.
