A Senior Developer Engineer Java is accountable for development and maintenance of backend applications. In this role, following functional and technical analysis, you ensure the implementations that comply with the standards relating to performance, security and code maintainability, with respect of time and budget during all phases. In this position you will be at the heart of our scalable technology platforms, being accountable for delivering common banking functionalities used in most of the propositions that ING offers to its customers.Join us for this exciting opportunity!Key ResponsibilitiesApplication development according to ING Bank standardsDevelop source code and perform Unit TestCollaborate with DevOps Engineers in order to manage software development lifecycleIs responsible to implement code that is resilient against vulnerabilities and to integrate security throughout the entire software development lifecycleFollow bugfixing during test phase (SIT and UAT)Follow Production issue resolution in production environmentDelivery defect analysis in order to measure and recognize the goodness of solution designCheck and give feedback on functional and technical analysis, perform code reviewManage communication and escalation processes when requiredRequirementsDegree in Computer Science or equivalent5+ years’ experience in the same role in a 24/7 environment preferably within banking sectorProven skills in the Agile way of workingProven experience in application development with JAVA on/with J2EE platform, Spring, Spring BootAdvanced experience in REST & SOAP application services developmentProven experience in Microservices architectures, implementation of robust API managementKnowledge of event-driven architecture (MQ, Kafka)Deep understanding of distributed systems and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)Practical skills in automating the software development lifecycle via CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) pipelinesJunit testing, Test Driven Development and Spring Integration testingNice to have experience with observability technologies - Prometheus/Grafana/ELKGood knowledge of issue and code versioning tools (Azure DevOps)Good knowledge of DBMS and SQL (Oracle, PL/SQL)Good knowledge of IT TechnologiesGood English level (written and spoken)Good knowledge of Microsoft OfficeSoft skills:Passion for technologyExcellence in executionResult orientedTeamplayerProblem solvingEffective communicationAble to work under pressureAvailable for on-call service upon requestWorking conditions: Full TimeDuration: PermanentLocation: Milan (hybrid)About INGING offers many opportunities to build a diverse and rewarding career.
