The Palace Company is seeking an experienced Business Controller to join our team and oversee the financial operations of our hotels across Europe.The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. This includes managing effective forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis to drive operational efficiency and profitability.Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of Profit & Loss month-end closing, in collaboration with accounting and operational departments;
  • Monitor and register accruals and prepayments to ensure proper cost allocation and compliance with accounting standards;
  • Prepare financial reports for regional and HQ teams, and support Monthly Business Reviews with insightful analysis;
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, identifying trends and improvement areas;
  • Develop financial models and KPIs, providing actionable insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders;
  • Partner with other departments to align financial goals and drive business performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field;
  • 4–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the luxury hospitality industry;
  • Fluency in English is required; fluency in Spanish is considered a strong plus;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities;
  • Proactive mindset with attention to detail and discretion;
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and reporting standards;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and in team settings.
