Junior Sustainability Specialist - Internship

• The TÜV SÜD Business Assurance Division has established a Global Sustainability Team (GST) supporting the country offices worldwide with the marketing and delivery of projects in the field of sustainability, the growth of related sales and business portfolio, the development of new products and solutions, the coordination of international programs and the monitoring of overall level of quality and compliance.
• The applicant will be integrated in the GST and collaborate on the team's projects in the field of sustainability, under coordination of the Business Line Manager as well as Project and Product Managers.
• The applicant will be involved in GST's areas of work and contribute to the service area objectives, in line with the company overall strategy, by supporting with:
• Operational arrangements and coordination of assigned services, products and projects in the field of sustainability
• Development and monitoring of service delivery plans, in collaboration with and support of country executing offices
• Business development and product innovation
• Stakeholder relations and trend monitoring, especially anticipating upcoming innovations and proposing innovative solutions
• Facilitation of efficient and effective organization of project resources
• Promoting communication and sharing between country executing offices
• Qualification of auditors, assessors and consultants as needed against applicable criteria, including periodical review of performance, calibration and training
• Periodic control process, reporting to line manager the progress of work, the quality of activities performed and deliverables, anticipating the needs of particular interventions
• Interaction with relevant internal functions (sales, administration, planning, invoicing, etc.) for end-to-end management of projects in scope, including offices in other countries
• Responding timely to requests from internal and external stakeholders, escalating for consideration of critical cases
• Proactively monitoring pending tasks and deadlines and soliciting responsible staff accordingly
• Monitoring of KPIs and preparing periodical status reports
• Analyzing performance indicators and recommending improvement actions where needed
• Supporting the preparation of texts and presentations for internal and external use
• Maintaining a result-oriented approach towards customer satisfaction and market success, while ensuring overall quality and compliance of process
• Proactively keeping updated on new systems and procedures.
• Basic requirements:
• Bachelor's degree / Master's degree
• Good knowledge of English (verbal and written)
• Strong interest and knowledge of CSR / Sustainability issues (ESG, SDGs, etc.)
• Analytical and result-oriented mindset
• Strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills
• Strong motivation to accuracy, quality and compliance
• Advanced use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Preferential requirements:
• Master in CSR and/or Business Management Systems
• Knowledge already acquired or in progress of CSR standards (e.g. SA8000 Certification; Sustainability Reporting; ISO 26000; SMETA, BSCI, RSCI and other social compliance audits; etc.)
• Experience in management systems auditing
• Ability to analyze data and indicators
• International experiences / multicultural groups
• Knowledge of German language
