Provide legal support in the drafting, negotiations and supervision over performance of the commercial lease agreements regarding the Company’s stores; required experience in this field – negotiations between the landlords and the tenants, liaisons with the shopping centre managers, legal support in construction and fitting out of the stores process, participation in the disputes – must have;
Handle multiple lease projects and deadlines simultaneously with careful legal analysis and attention to detail – must have;
Italian to English translation of lease agreements as provided by the landlords, and thereafter conduct of negotiations of lease agreements in bilingual version (i.e. providing mark-up of agreements both in Italian and English) – must have;
Provide drafts of contracts or other legal acts to be concluded by the company (statements, powers of attorney, constituent acts, internal decisions, addresses, notifications, other legal communications, etc.) with other individuals;
Maintain contact with public authorities and institutions;
Provide legal advice to management and company personnel on various other matters, including – inter alia - commercial matters, commercial lease matters;
Manage, assess and supervise over non-inhouse legal counsel;
Work with internal legal and business colleagues to address various legal and corporate initiatives;
Prepare legal opinions on the legal aspects regarding the Company's activity;
Prepare legal responses to communication received by the Company;
Draft, analyze and legalize commercial contracts according to the internal procedures of the departments concerned and in accordance with the legislation in force;
Verify and approve the legality of contracts, conventions, agreements, protocols, concluded by the company;
Make a revision of any type of existing company contract as needed, in accordance with the contracting process and in compliance with the legal provisions. Participation in contract negotiations;
Manage the relationship with the contract partners;
Monitor the compliance with legal and contractual obligations, reporting to the management any reported problems that could impact the activity company;
Keep up to date with the most recent changes in legislation and informing the company departments about legislation updates.YOUR PROFILE
Master’s degree in Law with proficiency in civil, business and tax law;
Experience with lease agreements negotiation for shopping centres/retail – must have;
Fluency in English language (legal and business) – must have;
Experience in in-house and/or legal firm in respective fields minimum 5 years, minimum 1 year for international company/clients;
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, required;
Knowledge of legal practices, concrete experience in drafting documents;
Knowledge of general corporate transactional law required;
Knowledge of contract development;
Good ability to negotiate, prioritize and organize;
Ability to work with deadlines;
Organizational integrity and professional ethics;
Attorney certificate will be additional plus;
